Abuja Metro Unable to breakdown Casmatt FA

Casmatt Football Academy defeated Abuja Metro FC 1-0 in their first match of the second round of the 2021/22 FCT FA League.

Coach Modebe made few changes to the side that held IB Sports Dreams to a goalless draw in the last game of the first round. Bernard Bitrus and Nuhu Ismail returned to the starting XI.

Casmatt FA took the lead in the 31st minute against the run of play. Attempts by Abuja Metro forwards were thwarted by the goalie and/or had to hit the side net.

In the second half, the introduction of Eze Vitus added more steel at the back but the lads were unable to break the resolute Casmatt FA defenders.

The game ended 1-0 in favour of Casmatt FA. With two more matches to play, Abuja Metro FC are now 3rd on the table. The remaining matches will be played next year – 2022.
