Nuhu Ismaili and Ikenna Ekedoro fired Abuja Metro FC to their fourth win of the year with a 2-1 victory over visiting Hanik Sports FC at the Government Secondary School, Area 10 Garki.
The Metros made it four wins in four matches this year. Today’s victory extends the winning streak to four consecutive matches – a record in the club’s history.
Coach Modebe made five changes to the starting XI that defeated Mbora FC last Saturday.
Promise Anyanwu returned in goal while Eze Vitus, Sadiq Abubakar, Ayala Musa and Nuhu Ismaili made up the changes.

The game lit up in the 28th minute when in-form forward Charles Utah found Nuhu Ismaili in the box for a simple tap-in to give Abuja Metro FC a 1-0 lead.
9 minutes later went, it went from bad to worse for Hanik Sports FC. Nuhu Ismaili turned provider for Ikenna Ekedoro to make it 2-0 after a goalmouth scramble.
Just before the half time whistle, Stanley Godia pulled one back for the visitors in added time.
After the break, the teams continued to make attempts to no avail.
In the 63rd minute, goal scorer Ikenna Ekedoro made way for Clement Cee while Miracle Tonack was replaced by Frank Ahonye. Bobby Abba came on for Nuhu Ismaili with 20 minutes left to play.
With no goals scored in the second half, the game ended 2-1 in favour of Abuja Metro FC.
