Wil-Wealth FC Walloped in Bwari as Charles Utah Continues Impressive Form

Charles Utah scored an hat-trick as Abuja Metro FC breezed past Wil-Wealth FC in a 7 goal thriller in Bwari Area Council.

It was the first away friendly match of the year for Coach Chinedu Modebe’s side and the 5-2 victory ensured a 100% win rate in 2021. It was also the first time the Metros will score 5 goals in a single match.

Coach Modebe made two changes to the starting XI that defeated Hanik Sports two weeks ago: Jonathan Habakkuk and Success Orji came in for Nuhu Ismaili and Sadiq Abubakar.

The game started slowly but Miracle Tonack got into the referee’s book in the 8th minute.

Musa Ayala Yusuf broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute to the surprise of the home team. 10 minutes later, Ayala turned provider as Charles Utah sent a powerful header beyond the goalkeeper to make 2-0 to Abuja Metro FC.

In the 36th minute, Samuel halved the deficit for Wil-Wealth FC but three minutes later Charles Utah made it 3-1 to Abuja Metro FC.

Three minutes after the break, Charles Utah grabbed his hat-trick. Success Orji found the striker outside the box who scored a screamer to the delight of the visitors.

With a three goal lead, Coach Modebe sent in fresh legs on the hour mark. The trio of Nuhu Ismaili, Miracle Tonack and Saka Oniminisi came on for Ikenna Ekedoro, Miracle Tonack and Promise Anyanwu.

Six minutes after the hour mark, Charles Utah turned provider as Jonathan Habakkuk made it 5-1 via a cheeky backheel.

With 10 minutes to go, Dajo Mershak came on for Jonathan Habakkuk. Bashiru reduced the scoreline from the spot for Wil-Wealth FC in the 83rd minute

Bobby Abba came on for hat-trick hero Charles Utah in the 88th minute to secure the 5-2 win for Abuja Metro FC.

Speaking to AMFC Media after the game, Coach Modebe was delighted with the performance of the players: “It was a good game all round. The boys gave their best and they are willing to do more”

The team will continue preparations for the FCT FA League.
